Treaty Between Self and Earth, a new performance piece inspired by the poems of Colin Greer connects everyday things we take for granted to the deforestation of the Amazon rain forest. Architect N. Scott Johnson wrote the book connecting six poems into a narrative and composed the musical score inspired by Brazilian popular music from the 1960s and 1970s, collaborating with percussionist Victor Caccese. The production was produced by Rattlestick Playwrights Theater in the West Village of New York City and performed outdoors in the Rattlestick Courtyard in September 2021.
