Visitors arrive by car, park in the forecourt, gather in the Main Exhibit Hall, then traverse to the Carriage Hall for performance, exiting either to the gardens or back to the Main Hall after the performance.

The Orangerie, unlike most performance halls and museums, has no conventional front and back door: it offers three equally grand access points, each providing a unique opportunity to curate movement through the space.
The Orangerie will play host to artists, musicians, performers, and thinkers, accommodating a broad spectrum of pursuits across multiple creative disciplines. To support this rich variety of programming – and to anticipate uses that have yet to be imagined – the building must act as a versatile performer, availing itself of a flexible infrastructure that can quickly adapt to changing artistic, environmental, technological, and spatial demands.
