The people of Vero Beach own massively valuable assets: Big Blue, a decommissioned power plant the size of Chartres Cathedral along side a soon to be relocated waste water treatment plant with six water tanks, the largest being 45 feet tall with a footprint of 24,900 square feet, all located on 33 acres along the Intercostal Waterway known locally as the Indian River Lagoon. These historic structures have the potential to inspire art installations and community engagement unlike anywhere else in the world, a World of Possibilities.
The Electric Tank Parade is envisioned to take place on this industrial site on two or more weekends in the spring of 2022. It is a drive through parade that would light up the tanks with videos, digital art, and project a virtual concert onto the side of Big Blue that faces the Lagoon. People will enjoy the concert in their cars or boats and listen to the the music as broadcasted by a local radio station.
The virtual concert feature a performance by the world renowned Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
