9/11’s Unsettled Dust is a film about the impact of the toxic cancer-causing smoke that hung over ground zero and how the EPA told people the air was safe to breathe. The film score features music composed and performed by Scott Johnson based on a jam session with musician and sound engineer David Goldman and film director Lisa Katzman. Musical themes were improvised on the cello while clips from the film were projected in the recording studio. The film was aired on PBS on September 11th, 2021 marking the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
